The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through its Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, released โ‚ฑ16.505 million in emergency employment assistance to support post-typhoon recovery and rehabilitation in Cagayan province. The assistance benefited more than 3,300 affected workers who took part in cleanup, repair, and restoration of public facilities, with wages distributed through a series of face-to-face pay-outs.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cagayan Field Office is the regional extension of DOLE Region 2. It is tasked with promoting and protecting the welfare of workers, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and implementing national labor programs and services within the province of Cagayan.

  • Enforces labor standards and occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Provides employment facilitation, training, and livelihood programs for workers and out-of-school youth.
  • Supports workersโ€™ rights, grievance handling, and dispute resolution through labor relations services.
  • Coordinates with Local Government Units (LGUs), private establishments, and other agencies for program implementation.
